Description: | Mercury (Hg) concentrations for green-lipped mussels and scallops from sites with the Marlborough Sounds, Tasman Bay, Doubtful Sounds and Aramoana. Three replicate samples were analyzed per species per site for a total of 71 samples. Both species are not uniformly present across all sites. Samples from Marlborough Sounds were collected in February 2018 and November 2018. Samples from Tasman Bay were collected November 2018. Samples from Doubtful Sound were collected February 2019. Samples from Aramoana were collected April 2019. Data can be used to identify variability in Hg concentrations among different sites and regions on New Zealand’s South Island.
